Choice Community Credit Union Membership

Membership Eligibility

Choice Community Credit Union membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the county, or counties, in which we operate (Guilford & Forsyth counties), and their immediate family members regardless of where the family member lives. Membership is also open to businesses in these counties, their families, and Select Employee Groups (SEGs) of the credit union.  Membership is also open to anyone who is, or becomes, a member of the Center for Community Self-Help. 

Additionally, Choice Community Credit Union membership is open to anyone eligible through any other authorized field of membership of the Credit Union such as Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test.

Your credit union membership is established when you open a deposit account (savings or checking). Out of your total deposit, $5 will be applied to your “par value share” which is required to secure membership in the Credit Union. Membership in Choice Community Credit Union makes you a member/owner of Self-Help Credit Union with the right to vote at the annual meeting of Self-Help Credit Union.  

If you are joining through the Center for Community Self-Help, a membership fee of $20 is required in addition to your $5 par value share.
